HAVE A STORY IDEA IN MUSKEGON COUNTY? EMAIL MICHAEL!
Michael Powers is the neighborhood reporter for Muskegon and the surrounding communities.
I was born just outside of Chicago but have been living in the mitten state since I was 10. I’m a graduate of Grand Haven High School, Class of 1993…GO BUCS!!!!!!
I then continued my education at Ferris State University where I graduated from the Television Production Program in 97’.
After graduation I got a job working in the production department at a local tv station and gradually worked my way up to becoming a photojournalist for the next 24 years.
I’ve now transitioned to in front of the camera telling stories from my Muskegon neighborhood.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new places around the area.
If you have any stories you want covered, please send me an email at michael.powers@fox17online.com.
