GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Weekend lane closures return in the construction zone on I-196 in Grand Rapids between US-131 and Market Avenue.
While a lane closure is a long-term fixture on I-196 eastbound from Market Avenue to US-131, the westbound lanes have been only seeing closures on the weekend.
A lane closure returns to I-196 westbound beginning Friday night:
I-196 westbound
- Lane closure from Lane Avenue to Market Avenue.Friday 8 p.m. to no later than Monday 5 a.m., July 24-27.
- Ramp closed from Lake Michigan Drive westbound to I-196 westbound at the same time.
Continuing:
- Lane closure I-196 eastbound from Market Avenue to US-131 through October 31. (So far, the lane closure has ended just after the bridge work at Lake Michigan Drive.)
- Ramp closed from Lake Michigan Drive eastbound to I-196 eastbound through October 31.
