In the fourth quarter, Zac Baker and Davis Magsig would step up big for the Eagles while Coby Dudley added two late buckets to help protect the lead.
"It's really special," Magsig said after the win, "we always want this win every year, it's the Salad City," he laughed.
The Eagles improve to 2-1 on the young season after handing the Crusaders their first loss of the season.
"We keep hearing people talk that we aren't going to be as good as last year, we'll show it on the court," Magsig added.
