GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Eligible workers have until the end of December to apply for free tuition in the Futures for Frontliners program.
Frontline workers are identified as anyone without a college degree who worked in a frontline job at least half-time for 11 of the 13 weeks between April 1 and June 30, 2020. After they have been accepted by the state, frontliners can apply to a college to attend
Grand Rapids Community College has accepted 1,700 qualified frontliners and is offering assistance in getting through the application process, especially filling out the FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
