WALKER, Mich. — The City of Walker had planned to begin removing a bridge by now, but the project has been postponed.
The bridge project is the removal of the Walker Avenue bridge over the Coopersville and Marne railroad tracks.
The city says April 27 is its new target date for closing Walker Avenue south of Waldorf Avenue for four months.
Disruption of the road construction supply chain is being blamed for the delay, given executive orders from the governor covering which businesses can stay open.
