GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — There's one local organization that can help you do two good deeds at once. It's called Feed the Front GR.
The idea came to Tom Todish came in March, when he was praying trying to figure out what he could do to help people. He put his web-design skills to good use and created a website that connects people's donations, with restaurants in need of business, and healthcare workers in need of support.
“We decided to partner with local restaurants and people in the community who could sign up to donate meals,” founder of Feed the Front GR Tom Todish said.
The process is simple. Donate to cover a meal, when they get enough orders for food from front line healthcare workers, they'll get in touch with a local restaurant, and then that restaurant has business.
Both restaurants and those requesting meals can sign up to be a part of the process on their website, here.
“It would be better if this wasn’t a need. But it is, and I’m glad we can play a small part in helping out,” Todish said.
