GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Both westbound lanes of I-196 are blocked by a crash after Lane Avenue involving a semi tractor-trailer.
There was no immediate confirmation of injuries.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m.
The westbound lanes of the freeway were closed at US-131 to detour traffic that would ordinarily get stuck in traffic. The ramps from US-131 to westbound I-196 were also closed.
By 11:30 a.m., the left lane at the crash scene was opened.
