No doubt by now, you’ve heard the words “I’m booooored!” We’ve lucked out here in West Michigan, having some gorgeous spring days to just go outside, but what about things to do inside? I have some fun, educational toys that are a great boredom buster. We shall call these “Parenting Sanity Savers”.
These are fantastic for ages 12 months and up! My 4-year-old had a blast with them, I can say that much. Kids can work on their motor skills, colors, problem solving, numbers, shapes, size and more. Also, it’s a great toy for the bath and beach!
World of Eric Carle Magnatiles: The Very Hungry Caterpillar
A popular children’s book in 3D form! Kids will have fun building the sequence of events, while working on fine-motor skills, engineering, numbers, problem-solving and more! These will actually work with other Maganatiles and can be found exclusively at Target.
This is a science experience times 10!! We’ve heard a lot about STEM learning, but this one is STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading and Writing, Engineering the Arts and Math) You can actually do 59 different projects ranging from a flying saucer and fiber optics. Great for ages 8 and up.
PLUS PLUS Learn to Build Jewelry
I don’t know who had more fun with these; my son or me! Little hands and minds will leave putting these little brightly colored plastic puzzle pieces together to make fabulous jewelry and other creations. They simply snap together and then kind of hinge so they can easily go around your wrist, finger, etc. There are other colors and styles on Amazon.com
So, the problem with this one, is that my son can’t stop asking to use it! It’s amazing! This is a projector that will shoot giant videos up on walls, ceilings or whatever happens to be in front of you! This can be a 360 degree experience. MY son was hanging onto it, with a different scene popping up on each wall, the ceiling and even floor, trying to find a little, adorable creature. You can even use Netlix, Amazon Prime and more on it. Can hold 120 hours of preloaded content.
