There are a total of 437,985 coronavirus cases and 10,752 deaths in Michigan, the state reported Monday.
That's up 7,205 cases and 90 deaths since the last report on Saturday. That is an average of just over 3,600 cases per day for the two day period.
The state lists another 34,795 probable cases and 537 probable deaths.
According to state health officials, the number of deaths announced Saturday includes 176 deaths identified during a Vital Records review.
The state surpassed 400,000 total cases of COVID-19 on Monday, just less than nine months after the first cases were confirmed on March 10.
The 400,000 case mark came on the same day that Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the COVID-19 restrictions would be extended for 12 more days until Dec. 20.
As of Friday, Dec. 11, 236,369 people have recovered from the virus in Michigan.
