Sometimes the ways to pay-it-forward come in ways we do not think of and don’t cost money.
Do you have wheelchairs, walkers, etc., that are just collecting dust? Alternatives in Motion, 2215 29th St. Suite A6, Grand Rapids, could use them. They accept gently used mobility equipment and work with community partners to distribute to those with disabilities. They are hosting a contact-less mobility drive at their office thru May 24 from 10am to 2pm. Just drive up behind their building and a staff member will unload the items.
Moving on, where are those of you who needed to take their pop cans back before we couldn’t take them back? Grandville Robotics could sure use them! Known as “Robodawgs”, they could use the cans to help fund programs. Just take them to the collection bins located at 4900 Canal SW.
And finally, class of 2020, put on the cap and gown, hop behind the wheel and head to Chick-fil-A, 2750 E. Beltline Ave. SE, Grand Rapids. Today from 4pm to 7pm, wearing your graduation garb will get you a free chicken sandwich!!
