Recently the art of crafting beer in small pubs or even at home has really taken off, but the beverage has been around for millenia and has a history. The Lakeshore Museum Center is sharing that history of brewing with a new exhibit called "Cheers! A History of Brewing in Muskegon."

The exhibit tells the story of brewing beer in Muskegon, from the 1860s to the present. The display features unique artifacts from Muskegon's brewing history including bottles, kegs, advertisements, tools, and photographs.

There will be a special guided tour on Thursday, January 23 at 5:30 and 7 p.m. The tour will be lead by Aaron Mace, exhibit project manager, and Michael Brower, co-founder of Pigeon Hill Brewing Company and exhibit contributor.

Admission is free for members, and $5 for non-members.
