For years, the Holland Rescue Mission has been a place of comfort, providing meals and shelter for those in need. Even with the pandemic, their purpose and programs do not stop.
A new childcare center is set to open in January 2021. This will allow parents utilizing the shelter, to head off to work, starting the path to getting their independence once again. Extra cleaning measures and staffing have been put into place.
Several important fundraising measures have been cancelled this past year, and specifically their food pantry is a bit more bare. Holland Rescue Mission is also in dire need of warm winter gear for all ages. Financial donations are highly encouraged, as well. You can do so online along with seeing a list of items needed. The Holland Rescue Mission also has an amazing thrift store with profits supporting their cause.
Holland Rescue Mission is located at 661 E. 24th St., Suite 300.
