What a wild ride it has been!
On December 5, 2014, the 9a.m. to 10a.m. time slot was taken over by a new lifestyle and entertainment show called FOX 17 Morning Mix. At the helm, was myself, Leigh Ann Towne. It was one hour dedicated to highlighting wonderful businesses, places and people that make West Michigan so fabulous. My time as a solo host came to a stop, when I got the shocking news in the fall of 2015, that I was having a baby! A true shock since it was highly unlikely that I could have children. So how would the show go on in my absence?
Well, Todd Chance, with radio and print media background, was pegged as my fill-in. On Friday, April 15, 2016, the day that I was supposed to show him the ropes, was the day that my little Bronson Phoenix decided to enter the world a month early! He weighed a whopping 4lbs. 10 ounces but was healthy as ever. On Monday, April 18, Todd was at the helm, flying solo!
Once I came back from maternity leave, it was apparent that the two ingredients to make West Michigan's number one show of its kind, had been blended in the proper bowl. From the wacky duo of Todd and Leigh Ann, along with Executive Producer Andrea Shaner, Associate Producer Lindsay Hoffman along with photojournalists Seth Steele and Eric Florence, we'd like to thank the sales staff that we work closely with all the way to our clients. But most importantly, it's the viewers of West Michigan that make our jobs so enjoyable! We look forward to "mixing it up" some more! Thanks for your support.
