ZEELAND, Mich. — Our FOX 17 Blitz Battle features another outstanding OK Green rivalry this Friday night as Zeeland West takes on Zeeland East in the annual Bird Bowl.

The Dux lead the series, 12-7 as the teams get set for the 20th edition of the rivalry.
However, entering last fall, the series was split 6-6 since 2010, including several playoff matchups between the two programs.
In fact, in 2019, the Dux won both meetings, 34-14 in the regular season and 38-7 in the opening round of the playoffs.
Zeeland East head coach Derek Pennington is mic'd up in this week's Sounds of the Game as the Chix once again prepare for the battle of Zeeland.
