Tuesday afternoon Helen Devos Children's Hospital's Pediatric Rehab team went to a teambuilding exercise, where they built bikes.
Employees didn't know they'd be giving those bikes away, to some lucky kids with the Grand Rapids Boys and Girls Club.
The kids' guesses for what their surprise would be...ranged from presents...to a party...to cookies...but none of them mentioned bikes.
When the kids walked into the room with their new bikes waiting, both employees and the children were floored.
“We're up here at the hospital, it’s the best day ever. We got bikes!” Boys and Girls Club kid Kaleb Edwards said.
