HOLLAND, Mich -- The Holland Christian varsity baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and went on defeat Byron Center 4-2 Thursday.

The Maroons, who trailed the first five and half innings, loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the sixth inning when freshman second baseman Wilson Wirebaugh hit one back to the mound but the throw home was wild and two runs scored to give Holland Christian a 3-2 lead.  Coby Curtiss later added an RBI single for a 4-2 lead.

David Williams struck out eight in six innings of work on the bump for the Maroons and earned the win.  Josh Sterenberg pitched a one-two-three seventh for the save.
