PARCHMENT, Mich. — A runaway vehicle drove through the front of a Parchment pizza parlor early Saturday morning.
At 3:03 a.m. Saturday, the vehicle went through the front of Geno’s Pizza, which is located at 113 N. Riverview Drive in Parchment. The business is owned by Jack and Debbie Galbreath.
Jack Galbreath said police told him the driver was drunk and had been arrested.
“If this had happened three or four hours earlier, we would have had both dining rooms full,” he said. “That would have been a disaster.
“Oh well, we needed to paint anyway,” he chuckled.
Repairs were being made to the business’ storefront amid a flurry of activity Saturday.
Jack Galbreath said Geno’s Pizza will remain open for business as usual. Saturday’s hours are from 11 a.m. to midnight.
