MUIR, Mich. - A pastor with cerebral palsy received his new wheelchair Thursday.

We told you about Jacob Garber about a month ago.  His old wheelchair was six years old and too close to the ground.  It was becoming difficult for him to get around.

His church, the First Christian Church of Muir, held a fundraiser, earning most of the $22,000 needed for the wheelchair.  An anonymous donor covered the rest.

"I just want to say 'thank you' to my community and everyone that's donated to make this possible," Garber told FOX 17 Thursday. "Your generosity is absolutely amazing and I'm floored by it."

The new wheelchair has a built-in life and gets more traction. He'll be speaking at his high school Friday, describing life after graduation for students with special needs.
