EAST LANSING -- Muskegon Catholic Central scored twice in the 1st inning and twice in the 3rd as the Crusaders beat Ubly, 4-1, in a division 4 baseball state semifinal at Michigan State's McLane Stadium on Friday.
Senior Nick Holt delivered a 2-run single in the first inning to get the scoring started. In the 3rd inning, Jacob Holt had an RBI ground out and a 4th run scored on an error.
Sophomore Devin Comes pitched a complete game 1-hitter allowing just 1 unearned run, he struck out 6 and did not walk a batter.
MCC (38-1) will play Centreville (29-1) in the state championship game Saturday at 5:30 p.m..
