Light rain/snow arrives Monday & Tuesday

WEST MICHIGAN — After a reasonably quiet week weatherwise (last week), expect yet another one of those with one small fly in the ointment! We’ll see some light rain/snow develop late Monday morning and continue through the afternoon before changing to all snow showers Monday night and through Tuesday. Accumulations will be very light…on the order of an inch or two in most locations, perhaps two to three inches north/west of Grand Rapids or along the immediate lakeshore through Tuesday if we see some lake-enhancement.

The good news? High pressure builds back in to the Great Lakes the second half of this week and will generate quiet, uneventful conditions again. In fact, since the jet stream will remain to our north, I would expect temperatures to warm in to the low/mid 40s as we head in to the weekend. We may be looking at rain next weekend very late Sunday or next Monday as our next weather system arrives.
