GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Backups can be expected through Thursday afternoon on westbound I-96 as the holiday weekend approaches. Lane closures will continue on northbound US-131 in Rockford and on westbound I-196 in Grand Rapids.
The good news is that all MDOT funded projects will cease operations Friday afternoon, August 29, for the Labor Day weekend.
