IRONWOOD, Mich. (March 11, 2014) — It’s become one of my favorite hats of all time, even made in Michigan. When I wear it, I feel like I am part of some special club;  I am talking about my Stormy Kromer.

Whenever I wear it, people say, “Hey, is that a Stormy?” Well, indeed it is! Picture something similar to what Elmer Fudd wore, but add a felt flower for girls and great color options for everyone.

Just so you know, George “Stormy” Kromer was a real guy. Not only was he a a semi-pro baseball player, but a railroad engineer, too. His hats, which are kind of like a baseball cap with cool ear flaps that tie up when you don’t need them or fit comfortably under it, are known to withstand fierce winds. In 1903, as the story goes on his website, he asked his wife to modify an old baseball cap because his kept flying off while conducting the train. Hence, the Stormy Kromer was born.

In honor of Pi Day on Friday, March 14 (3.14, get it?) Stormy Kromer is discounting select styles to $31.41 and they will ship for just $3.14! How do you determine your cap size? Measure the circumference of your head in inches. You will then divide the circumference by 3.14 or Pi. This will help you figure out what size will be the most comfortable for you. If you like Stormy Kromer on Facebook, prizes will be available, too. To find your Stormy, head to www.stormykromer.com
