FREMONT, Mich. (Feb. 19, 2014)– Several fire departments responded to reports of a fire at Gerber Hospital.
Patients were evacuated from the third floor of the building until it was determined the fire was in an elevator shaft. The fire was extinguished, and patients were moved back to their rooms.
First calls on the fire went out around 4 a.m.
At least four fire departments have responded.
