GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After police announced that Tasha Charlton, 41, had walked away from her work assignmentat the Kent County Animal Shelter on Wednesday, they got a tip on her location.
Officers found and arrested her at an address on Fairview Street in Grand Rapids early Thursday, the GRPD announced in a release. Charlton is now in Kent County Jail, and will be charged with escape as a third-time habitual offender.
She was never considered a danger to the public.
