Two People Unresponsive After House Fire

MUSKEGON, Mich. — Four people were inside a home on Washington Avenue when fire broke out and help was called around 7 a.m.

Two people escaped, one of them by jumping out of a window.

But two others had to be rescued by fire crews. Both were men, one of them from the first floor, the other from the second floor. Neither of them was responsive.

Both men were taken to Hackley Hospital.

The two people who got out of the house were getting help from the Red Cross while the fire was dealt with.

The fire is believed to have started in the basement, but the investigation continues.
