ROCKFORD, Mich. — A rather ordinary line of rain showers with lightning moved through West Michigan Thursday morning. Nonetheless, several hundred power customers found themselves without electricity.
Around 7:30 a.m., Consumers Energy reported scattered power outages in the Rockford area affecting a little more than 100 customers. But by 8 a.m., more than 1,000 customers in Plainfield Township didn’t have power.
Consumers Energy said power should be restored by 10 a.m.
