GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — You can renew your vehicle tags online and by mail, and now, at one Meijer store in the area, by kiosk.
Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced Wednesday a pilot program at 77 locations statewide that allows drivers to renew their plates at a machine not unlike an ATM.
Meijer is participating in the trial at the 28th Street store at Kalamazoo Avenue in Grand Rapids and at a store in Lincoln Park, Mich.
Using a VISA, Mastercard or Discover credit or debit card, the transaction should take a couple of minutes.
You may have seen the machines inside Secretary of State offices, where you can, by the way, always revew your plates in person.
