Spring Gardening Mini-Series Continues at Frederik Meijer Gardens

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Slowly but surely, signs of the season are starting to pop up around West Michigan. Many people are anxious to see new life sprout from the soil, and the Spring Gardening Mini-Series at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park may provide some helpful tips. The final classes are set for Tuesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 11.

Participants are encouraged to attend a number of one hour classes, each for a fee of $10 for members and $15 for non-members. On the agenda for Tuesday and starting at 4 p.m. is “Year Round Container Gardens”; “Wildflowers for the Home Garden” at 5:30 p.m.  and “The Deer Resistant Garden” starting at 7p.m.

On Thursday, April 11, things kick off a little earlier with “Gardening in the Shade” starting at 1p.m.; “Rhododendrons and More” at 2:30 p.m. and “Pruning Trees and Shrubs at 4 p.m.
