WEST MICHIGAN – The attached photo is from our FOX 17 radar Saturday afternoon. The yellow areas show the movement of precipitation…to the north and east. It shows some light rain showers, most or which are not reaching the ground, moving across the state (the air at the surface is too dry). A low pressure system and cold front sliding through the state overnight will likely generate at least a few showers tonight in to early Sunday morning.
It’s not impossible to hear a rumble of thunder overnight as the cold front moves through, but severe weather is not likely. The wind is expected to stay brisk overnight right through about mid-day on Sunday. After some early morning clouds on Sunday, afternoon clearing with sunshine is likely as temps make the low/mid 50s.
