BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — A Newaygo man was under investigation for recent criminal sexual conduct (CSC) against minors when investigators discovered he was involved in similar behavior 14 years ago.
Now, Jeffrey Lynn Sedine, has been arraigned on seven CSC charges arising from both incidents.
Sedine was arrested and arraigned without incident in Mecosta County’s 77th District Court on Tuesday.
An investigation into recent charges was begun in last December at the Mount Pleasant State Police post. It was those troopers who uncovered the 1999 investigation, which had not resulted in any charges. MSP teamed up in the investigation with the Mecosta County office of the state Department of Human Services.
