Posted

TORONTO — Grandville High School’s Robotics Team, The RoboDawgs, had a truck and trailer stolen in Toronto Wednesday.

Coaches for the team estimated the value of the stolen items at about $40,000.

The team is competing in the Greater Toronto East Regional at the University of Ontario this week.

GHS math teacher Aaron Rigterink is with the team and told FOX 17 all the back up bots are gone and tons of building materials. “We will compete, but getting ready will be interesting”, said Rigterink. He also said the other teams at the tournament are helping them out with needed tools and materials.

We reported it to Toronto Police, but they lost the report at shift change, said Rigterink.
