Power outages in southwest Michigan were reported as a series of strong storms blow through the area.

Consumers Energy reports over 24,000 customers are without power Tuesday evening just before 8 p.m. Storms are expected to continue, potentially causing more damage and outages into Wednesday.

The highest concentration of outages are in the Kalamazoo area, up into Plainwell and Allegan, and includes hundreds of customers in the South Haven and Holland areas.
