GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The West Michigan Sports Commission dedicated its new office space Wednesday afternoon in downtown Grand Rapids overlooking Calder Plaza on Ottawa avenue.

"We are grateful to our partners in the tourism and experience Grand Rapids who really gave us space for 13 plus years," West Michigan Sports Commission president Mike Guswiler said. "But this allows opportunities to expand our brand and really showcase who we are and the community as the economic development engine that we are through sports tourism."

The new office has allowed the operations of the staff to expand as they continue to grow.

The West Michgian Sports Commission is averaging over 80 events each year put on in West Michigan and the new space helps with the planning of those.
