CALEDONIA, Mich. — West Ottawa alum and Grand Valley junior Jake Van Tubbergen scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Lakers beat Davenport, 79-69 to notch a GLIAC win.
"Really super proud of my team," head coach Ric Wesley said, "it's hard to come here and win. Jake Van Tubbergen was absolutely tremendous and staying out of foul trouble in the second half was a real key to the game. Really proud of this team, great win for us on the road."
The Lakers improve to 9-1 overall and will take on Grace Christian on Wednesday at home.
