Casey Mize chooses his words wisely.
Asked about the bond the core Tigers prospects share, Mize unloaded some strong hopes for his group.
"I think about the '90s Braves — how good those guys were, how close they were. I want the 20s Tigers to be like that," he said in a video chat hosted on the team's social media channels.
As we wait for baseball to return, the Tigers hosted a Virtual Happy Hour, featuring Mize and fellow top prospects Matt Manning, Alex Faedo, and Jake Rogers.
"I really think we have a good opportunity, and I think we're laying that foundation right now. So I think for this decade, I think we can bring a lot to the table," Mize said.
Faedo erupted in excitement. "That's the best thing you've ever said! I feel like crying," he said.
