GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Despite 12-point first half deficit and an opening 16 minutes that mostly went Forest Hills Central's way, Joe Soules and the Huskies were able to weather the storm.
After trailing, 40-35 at half, Ethan Erickson stepped up in a big way along with Fruitport transfer, Gavin Fisher.
The Huskies would outscore the Rangers, 30-13 in the fourth quarter en route to an 82-71 win and a 2-0 start to the season.
Erickson had a team-high 25 points while Fisher added 19.
Meanwhile, the Rangers were once again led by Dallas Hopson who came off of a 16 point performance in the season opening win against Northview to score 15 more in the loss.
The Rangers fall to 1-1 on the season.
