GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Catholic Central sophomore Kaden Brown and junior Jack Karasinski each scored 18 points in the Cougars' 59-44 win over Grand Rapids Christian on Saturday afternoon.
"They were both in foul trouble in the first half," said head coach TJ Meerman, "so for them to step up the way they did in the second half after sitting was impressive."
It was a highly anticipated matchups between two unbeaten teams.
"Both [Brown and Karasinski] are gym rats and in games like this, it shows," Meerman added.
Grand Rapids Christian guard and Michigan signee Kobe Bufkin was injured in the opening quarter and did not return to the game.
The Cougars improve to 6-0 on the season.
