Editor's note: Toriis blogging about rebounding from unemployment due to the coronavirus at My Rebound by FOX 17. She is back working as a bartender at the River Stop Saloon in Newaygo and as a cosmetologist at The Freckled Fawn in Fremont. She is married and lives in Fremont.

It’s been quite the week.

I had a new nephew to visit, and lots of planning for my brother's graduation party that’s coming up.

But I started my week out by getting my hair done and it was a weird experience. Even though I follow the same rules at my job, it’s weird being the customer.

The bar slowed down for a little bit but picked back up quickly after the governor started announcing potential closings. Thankfully the bar I work for is SAFE.(for now)

It’s crazy going to bed at night wondering if I’ll have a job to go to in the morning. Wondering if she’s going to close things down everyone is on edge waiting for the news. We had so many people pile in on Wednesday trying to get “one last outing” before she potentially closed the doors. So I’ve been pretty on edge as well.

The salon is busier than ever for us and I’ve had non stop customers since we opened which is AMAZING. But man..60 hours a week wears you out quickly.

I’m exhausted all the time and struggling to find energy to do the things I need to do outside of work..but so far, my work places are getting back on top and doing great and that’s really all I can hope for in times like this.
