FedEx is warning consumers about a scam involving fraudulent text messages and emails.
In a tweet from their official account, the company alerted the public regarding a recent scam in which people reported receiving texts and emails that appear to be from FedEx. The notifications inform the recipient that they have a package and it provides a link for them to set delivery preferences.
FedEx says the messages are not from them, and the company is urging consumers to not open the link.
The company is advising anyone who receives the messages to delete them without opening them and to report any suspicious text messages and emails to abuse@fedex.com.
