GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - — New Grand Rapids company, Pik-Nik is making a nostalgic outdoor meal easier than ever.
The picnic basket rental company is the first and only in West Michigan to offer fully stocked picnic baskets perfect for a beautiful West Michigan day out.
Founded by Austin Dingledine and Jamie Bryan, the focus of Pik-Nik is highlighting outdoor dining, and local foods. You can rent a "Pik-Nik" at Bridge Street Market in Downtown Grand Rapids
The company stocks each of their baskets with compostable tableware, plates, and napkins. Baskets also have dual climate zones for your cold, and room temperature goods.
Every basket does come with those amenities, but there are two basket types you can choose from, "You-Pik" and "We-Pik."
When renting "You-Pik" customers get the bare Pik-Nik basket, and can explore the market to make their own Pik-Nik using a provided local product guide.
When renting "We-Pik" customers get a Pik-Nik basket fully stocked with a monthly rotating menu such as "cheese, nuts, non-alcoholic beverages (for now), deli sandwich's, sweets, salty snacks, local jam, and gluten-free crackers."
