GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Ele's Place West Michigan — a FOX 17 community partner — supports grieving children, and on Thursday morning it is hosting the Virtual Healing Hearts Society Breakfast.
The event will run from 8-8:30 a.m. People can register online to join and watch the virtual breakfast.
Ele's Place will share testimonials from families on how its support programs have helped children navigate their "new normal" with peace and hope.
Unresolved grief, Ele's Place says, contributes to depression, addiction and violence.
Despite the recent stay-at-home order, Ele's Place has been providing support via Zoom meetings and phone, and it looks forward to eventually offering in-person support again.
The nonprofit is asking the community to give, so no child grieves alone.
The first $10,000 in pledges will be matched by Sue Jandernoa and Mike Jandernoa.
Give to Ele's Place West Michigan during or after the breakfast.
