GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — If you're looking for ideas for celebrating Independence Day, you will find a few options around the area!

Courtney Sheffer, with the West Michigan Tourist Association, spoke with us about some of those events.

Downtown Holland is offering shopping deals for people wearing red, white, or blue.

Stop by a participating store with a sign in their window, and you will get 20% off of one item!

The 59th annual Grand Haven Art Festival has transformed into a virtual event this year.

It runs through Monday at this link, with an online art gallery that has activities for kids, music, and much more.

Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park in Alto is giving safari rides to see their two new baby zebras, along with the chance to hand-feed a parakeet, camel, kangaroo, or giraffe.

The W.M.T.A. also had this to say: "If you`re looking for local places in West Michigan to explore this summer, we`'ve just expanded our West Michigan Stay-cation guide with ideas for tons of hidden gems throughout the area to explore. Whether you want to head to Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Traverse City, or anywhere in between, check out our Stay-cation guide for ideas of things to discover while you`'re there!"
