BANGOR, Mich. — Bangor is the latest city to allow recreational marijuana sales.
Starting Monday, people will be able to buy it from a handful of dispensaries that have opened.
While the police department says it respects voters allowing marijuana sales, it will also be increasing its patrols.
The new sales will bring more drivers and pedestrians to the downtown areas, so police want people to be aware of people on the road.
The Bangor Police Department will have additional staff on hand throughout the day.
The county sheriff will also have patrols in Bangor throughout the day, according to the Bangor Police Department.
