COLDWATER, Mich. — Police received a 911 call that led them to a Quality Inn & Suites on the city's east side around 3 a.m.
There they found the victim and pronounced them dead at the scene.
The suspect got away just before police arrived, but thanks to witness descriptions of both them and their vehicle, Michigan State Police troopers managed to find the suspect on US-12 near Quincy.
While that suspect was taken into custody, Coldwater Police are not yet releasing any details on them or the victim.
Officials do say that they will provide an update once more information becomes available.
