UNION CITY, Mich. — The body of a man was found inside a house in Union City in northern Branch County on Sunday.
A person passing by the house at 445 Creamery Road spotted smoke coming from the house and flagged down a police officer. The officer found a fire inside the house, and the Union City Fire Department found the man’s body.
The identity of the dead man has not been released, and the cause of death was, as of Monday midday, undetermined.
No one was injured in putting out the fire.
