LANSING, Mich. — State licensing officials are forming a workgroup to gather information for handling the marijuana shortage in Michigan.

The group will meet at the Marijuana Regulatory Agency's (MRA) public meeting in Saginaw, March 26th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to consider information gathered by the public to help overcome lapses in availability of marijuana since recreational marijuana became legal.

Dispensaries are currently trying to balance catering to the new recreational crowd while still supplying the needs of medical marijuana users.

The MRA is having an open call for participants in the workgroup. Anyone interested should email your name, address and phone number along with your employment information and a short summary of how you can help the group to MRA-Legal@michigan.gov with the word "WORKGROUP" in the subject line.
