LANSING, Mich. — When Michigan residents lose their job or have their income reduced, they have 60 days to sign up for health insurance. But time is running out for workers who were laid off early in the pandemic, notes the Michigan Dept. of Insurance and Financial Services.
Health care coverage is available through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
“Resources are available for Michiganders who have been financially impacted during this crisis, and I encourage them to explore these options for their health and the health of their families,” said Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in a release.
