More than 100 dogs and puppies were removed from a puppy mill in the Upper Peninsula earlier this week.
According to the Delta County Animal Shelter, the dogs are mostly females with puppies or females that are pregnant.
"It was horrible," the shelter wrote on Facebook while raising money to help care for the dogs.
The dog breeds include:
Goldens
Standard poodle
Golden doodles
Australian shepherds
Aussie doodles
Mini aussies
Yellow, black, white, chocolate labs
German shepherds
Yorkies
Teddy bears
One pit/ can courso
Few chihuahuas
Few Boston’s terriers
The shelter said all dogs will be vaccinated, de-wormed, flea treated and get medical care. The shelter added they were covered in flies and had horrible wounds.
"These dogs are scared, they’ve never been inside, never on a leash," the shelter said. They are posting updates on the dogs.
