GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is calling for participants in the annual Lloyd F. Hutt scholarship essay contest.
High school seniors have the opportunity to win one of twenty $2,000 scholarships to go towards further education.
Whoever applies is required to write a 750-1,500 word essay that describes one day in their life from this past year. Judges will primarily evaluate based on the applicant's level of passion, as well as comprehension of subject, organization, language use, originality, clarity, spelling and grammar.
