GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An 89-year-old woman was sent to the hospital after driving her car into a tree.
The crash happened Wednesday around noon on Robbins Rd. near 152nd Ave in Grand Haven Township.
The woman was backing out of her driveway when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, according to a release by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
The 2005 Mercury Montego hurtled across Robbins Rd, into property on the other side, before slamming into a tree.
Teh 89-year-old driver was hurt, but is expected to be okay.
